U.S. Regen™
Regenerative U.S. cotton, backed by verified practices and measurable outcomes, traceable to the bale and available at scale.
U.S. Regen™ is regenerative U.S. cotton grown under the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol by growers who meet defined regenerative agriculture criteria. Delivered through Field Partner Programs, it connects eligible cotton with mills, manufacturers, brands and retailers through the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol’s existing verification and traceability systems.
For the 2026 crop, the program has scaled to provide more opportunities for growers to participate and additional pathways for member brands and retailers to source regenerative U.S. Cotton.
What are Field Partner Programs?
Field Partner Programs are the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol’s pathway for delivering U.S. Regen™ cotton to the market at the scale needed by brands and retailers. They bring together growers, Field Partners and supply chain members through a common approach built on the existing program infrastructure.
Field Partners include participating cotton merchants, marketing cooperatives and self-marketing growers. They help identify eligible growers, support participation and connect U.S. Regen ™ cotton with U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol member supply chains.
How it Works - From the Farm to the Supply Chain
U.S. Regen™ brings growers and supply chain members together through a verified and traceable sourcing pathway:
- Growers implement qualifying regenerative practices and participate through a Field Partner.
- Field Partners support eligible growers and market U.S. Regen™ cotton.
- Mills and manufacturers source and record U.S. Regen™ cotton through the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol’s traceability solution.
- Brands and retailers source traceable regenerative U.S. cotton and share their commitment through approved claims.
- The U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol provides program oversight, verification and traceability.
Built on Measurement, Verification and Traceability
U.S. Regen™ builds on the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol’s established measurement, verification and traceability infrastructure. Qualifying regenerative practices are verified at the field level, while the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol traceability solution allows U.S. Regen™ cotton to be tracked as it moves through participating supply chains.
This approach provides greater visibility into the origin of the cotton and the practices associated with its production, helping members source regenerative U.S. cotton with credible assurance.
The U.S Cotton Trust Protocol is developing a field-level certification program for regenerative U.S. cotton, planned for implementation beginning with the 2027 crop year.
